Mr. Bailly has more than 15 years of experience in software architecture, systems development, and product design. He is President and Chief Software Architect of Essential Software & Design, a technology consulting firm located in New York City. At Essential he designed personalization features and intelligent web-based database systems for Ticketmaster / CitySearch, led the development of online systems for TimeOut New York, and created StarMedia's use profile system which effificiently handled exponential user growth. Prior to Essential, he was general partner and vice president of engineering at Open Micro Systems. His project experience also includes developing systems for MasterCard International, Atlantic Records, Insignia / ESG, Winstar, and GEM Capital Management. Mr. Bailly holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California at San Diego.

• Centralized "Core"
  
  For his first effort at Essential, Mr. Bailly created the Essential Software & Design Core System. This is a centralized set of user interface libraries, layered database funcitons, and work-flow methodologies. All together these technologies form a task-oriented office automation platform. The platform is the basis for a business solution at a prestigious ambulatory surgical center. To this day the surgery center uses Essential's core technology for outpatient scheduling and management, and HIPPA compliant medical billing. Since its inception the core has benefited from continous development and upgrades, and the libraries have grown and flourished.

  Over the years Mr. Bailly has created technical products for a wide variety of industries. Because his solutions are so closely tied to his clients' businesses he works closely with top-level managers. This gives Mr. Bailly uncommon insight and experience in approaching difficult problems.   Mr. Bailly has been involved in many new and creative software developments. He was among the first to introduce database templating for publication on the web.
